Killer hosting, at a extra low price
VPSLink is a Virtual Private Server Hosting provider offering OpenVZ and XEN VPS platforms, Linux operating systems, and affordable plans. What is a VPS you say? Checkout our FAQ for more info.
Overview
I have personally used VPSlink for my business needs over the past year and have not had any issues or problems. At the bottom of this review I have included a uptime report from Pingdom.com.
Speed, response time, CPU and memory usage have all been very well, with no noticeable bleed over between clients.
Support
I have only had to contact support once in the past year. The request was non critical and they responded within 24 hours. The response was from an actual person, via email, not an automated support center, or a ticket system. Pretty refreshing to be honest.
There is a very active support forum as well as a Wiki and clear documentation.
Cost
Plans start off as little as 7.99. Realistically if you are running more then one website, or need some space you will spend about 14-20 bucks a month. Still a steal for a VPS that is this good. Typically you will spend about 40-80 bucks with most companies for the same service.
Billing
The billing center supports credit cards and Paypal. They can auto bill you, or you can pay each month. They send enough emails out to be helpful and remind you when payments are due, but not so many it’s annoying. You have around a ten day leeway if you forget your bill is due and are late.
Uptime
I cannot do this for all of the webhosts I review, but I have used this company for my own needs so I can share even more details then usual. Below is my uptime report from Pingdom.com. You can see the uptime was reported as 99.96%. The downtime was all my doing, from doing Apache rebuilds or doing some sort of scheduled maintenance. There has been no downtime due to VPSlink issues for me to date. This is pretty impressive, as I am hard on servers.

Summary
A good solid, strong VPS host. Good response time all over the world, and plenty of resources on the servers. They have plans that start at 7.99. There really is no reason to used a crowded shared webhost when you can get a VPS from VPSlink for such little cash. If you need a new place to stick your websites, this company is a sure thing.
